Gona-Max is a hormone that supports the normal development of the ovum in the ovary of a woman, and stimulates the release of the oocyte during ovulation.
Gona-Max is used to cause ovulation and to treat infertility in women, and to increase the number of sperm in men. Gona-Max is also used in young boys when their testicles do not fall down into the scrotum normally. This can be caused by a pituitary gland disorder.
Gona-Max may also be used for other purposes not indicated.
Important Information About Gona-Max
HCG is given as an injection under the skin or in the muscles. If you are using HCG at home, your doctor, nurse or pharmacist will give you specific instructions on how and where to enter this medicine. Do not independently administer HCG if you do not fully understand how to give an injection and properly dispose of used needles and syringes.
Call your doctor if you have any of these signs of a blood clot: pain, heat, redness, numbness, or tingling in your arm or leg; Confusion, extreme dizziness or severe headache.
